The American Express Red Card
The Red Card is a great way to donate to charity while you shop. With the Red Card, 1% of all eligible of what you have spent will be donated by American express, up to a total of £5,000 per quarter to Global Fund-financed* programs in Africa to help of women and children affected by HIV/AIDS. And if you spend more than £5,000 in a year, then Amex will donate 1.25% on all spend above the threshold. There's a special introductory donation of an extra £5 if you spend on the Card within the first month of receiving it.

The Global Fund is the world's leading funder of programs to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Created in 2002 as an innovative public-private partnership to combat the three diseases, the Global Fund allows countries to design and manage their own programs, and gives funds on the basis of proven results. It has administrative overheads of less than 3%, so that resources go directly to where they are needed most.
